Carroll earned his real estate Sales License in 1982 and his Brokers License in 1986, beginning his long career as a sales associate in Tyler, Texas. In the early years he learned the business by selling houses. His people skills quickly qualified him to take over the company’s sales management position. In this capacity, Carroll took advantage of many of the training opportunities from sales techniques and management to business models and forecasting. Carroll is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying a lifetime of hunting, fishing and most importantly clay target shooting. He earned a place on the National Skeet Shooting Association All American 1st Team as early as 1976. In recent years he participates in National Sporting Clays Association Master Class competition. He has hunted birds across America, Mexico and Argentina. His fondest boyhood memories are hunting quail, ducks and small game animals in East Texas. Carroll’s personal goals have always been to incorporate his love of the outdoors with his business endeavors. In 1999 the opportunity to join United Country Real Estate came along. Moving back to East Texas, the land where he spent his growing up years, to sell country real estate was a dream come true. The agronomy of the area has transitioned in the past 50 years from truck farms and grain crops to pasture land for cattle. Today, with cattle prices down and drought conditions prevailing, the land is again transitioning to more recreational uses. Landowners are enhancing their properties with hunting food plots, fishing lakes, and nature preserves. Many buyers are investing in land to hold for the future. Carroll’s expertise with 1031 exchanges, wildlife preservation programs, and wetlands renewal programs give him a leg up when helping buyers and sellers reach their goals, dreams and desires.
