Colby Marshall was born in Burns Oregon and raised on his family’s cattle ranch located in the frontier high desert of eastern Oregon. After graduating from Burns High School, Colby completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business Management from Oregon State University-Eastern Oregon University. College classes led to an interest in public land and energy policy followed by a decade of work in the United States Congress. After his work in the government, Colby served as Vice President of one of the largest ranches in eastern Oregon, managing all aspects of livestock operations and helping to grow an eco-resort. Colby, and his wife of 25 years, Shelley, have two children, an eighteen-year-old daughter Hadley and a fourteen-year-old son Wyatt of which they are very proud.
